As usual, the devices from Palm itself are the least impressive.  Some of the others are pretty neat -looking, although it&#8217;s difficult to justify a $700 device when you can get a laptop for the same price these days.<\/p>\n<p>Also worth a look are the new Linux handhelds (I have the Linux-based <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sharp-usa.com\/products\/ModelLanding\/0,1058,698,00.html\">Sharp Zaurus<\/a> as well as the short-lived <a href=\"http:\/\/linux.oreillynet.com\/pub\/a\/linux\/2001\/05\/18\/agenda_pda.html\">Agenda<\/a>, aside from my older PalmOS-based <a href=\"http:\/\/sonyelectronics.sonystyle.com\/micros\/clie\/models\/615.html\">Clie<\/a>).  I&#8217;m still wating for a solid phone\/PDA combination with an attractive form factor, but so far I haven&#8217;t found one.  The upcoming <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bargainpda.com\/default.asp?newsID=1176&#038;showComments=true\">Motorola A760<\/a> looks promising though.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As reported on Slashdot, this site has a nice overview of the latest Palm-OS powered devices.
