I was planning on writing a post not dissimilar to Fil’s<\/a> except I realized that I probably only bought a dozen albums this year. So, it would be a little disingenuous for me to say “these are my top 10 albums of the year” – it makes it sound like I bought hundreds of CD’s and these rose to the top. Anyhow, there was a bunch of stuff that came out this year that I really enjoyed and purchased.<\/p>\n

Albums I really liked:
\n– The Killers – Hot Fuss
\n– The Twilight Singers – She Loves You
\n– Ray LaMontagne – Trouble
\n– Modest Mouse – Good News for People Who Love Bad News
\n– Tom Waits – Real Gone
\n– Interpol – Antics
\n– Badly Drawn Boy – One Plus One Is One
\n– Bobby Bare Jr. – From the End of Your Leash<\/p>\n

Albums I found to be pretty good:
\n– The Streets – A Grand Don’t Come For Free
\n– The Zutons – Who Killed The Zutons
\n– Grant Lee Phillips – Virginia Creeper<\/p>\n

Albums I wish I’d bought:
\n– Arcade Fire – Funeral
\n– Franz Ferdinand – Franz Ferdinand
