{"id":488,"date":"2007-01-08T12:05:49","date_gmt":"2007-01-08T20:05:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lianza.org\/blog\/?p=488"},"modified":"2007-01-08T12:05:49","modified_gmt":"2007-01-08T20:05:49","slug":"football-predictions-part-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lianza.org\/blog\/2007\/01\/08\/football-predictions-part-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Football Predictions &#8211; Part 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I did a mediocre job of predicting the outcome of <a href=\"http:\/\/lianza.org\/blog\/?p=483\">this weekend&#8217;s games<\/a>.  I got 3 out of the 4 outcomes correct.  The one I didn&#8217;t get right was the game I went to, and the Cowboys would have won that game if Romo hadn&#8217;t made a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/sports\/columnist\/mccarthy\/2007-01-07-mccarthy-weekend_x.htm\" title=\"USA Today: Romo's blunder bound to live in sports-TV infamy\">historic blunder<\/a>.   I had also expected the Chiefs-Colts game to be close, which it was for a little while (Chiefs forced 3 Peyton Manning interceptions) but the Chiefs offense was amazingly absent, and the final score reflected that.<\/p>\n<p>Next weeks matchups are even harder to predict, so in the interest of embarrassing myself further, my predictions are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Patriots upset the Chargers (I can&#8217;t bring myself to say anything different)<\/li>\n<li>Ravens beat the Colts (this is the toughest one for me to call)<\/li>\n<li>Bears beat the Seahawks (almost totally dependent on how Rex Grossman plays.  They slaughtered the Seahawks during the year)<\/li>\n<li>Saints beat the Eagles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I did a mediocre job of predicting the outcome of this weekend&#8217;s games.
