I&#8217;m not sure what my guess would have been, but I doubt it would have been this high.  There are approximately <a href=\"http:\/\/quickfacts.census.gov\/qfd\/states\/53\/53033.html\">710,916<\/a> households in King County &#8211; which would mean that almost 1 in 10 households has a net worth of a million or more (not including primary residence).  I&#8217;d assume this is due to the fact that the county includes Bellevue, Redmond, Mercer Island, and Medina (Gates&#8217; house).
