Schulte and I agreed to see War of the Worlds today at 3:55. Unfortunately, I was 15 minutes late, so we decided to see Fantastic 4 instead. Neither of us expected either of these movies to be good, it was just something to do.

Well, let me tell you, I have never so regretted not being on time. Fantastic 4 was so awful I was ready to leave the movie after the first fantastic 5 minutes. Schulte and I started in with a usual array of awful jokes. For example: “I hope I can follow this movie, I didn’t even see Fantastic 3.” Boo-yeah. Pretty much the highlight was the fact that Jessica Alba often wore low-cut clothing, which Schulte repeatedly referred to as “the fantastic two”. Other than that, the movie was uninteresting nonsense followed my more ridiculous crap. I think a 10 year old boy might like this movie, but by age 13 or so he would have grown out of it.

So, in case you had some remote thought of ever seeing this movie, even via a rental or illegal download, just get that idea out of your head. It’s really that awful.

As an experiment, I’ve gone vegetarian for the last 3 days. I’m going to see how long I can stick it out. Yesterday morning my stomache was killing me so bad I thought I was going to have to leave work. Someone should do a documentary like Super Size Me, but for vegetables.

One thing about limiting one’s diet in this way is that it naturally cuts back on portion sizes. Who really wants to eat more salad?

I’ve posted most of my pictures thus far from Seattle. They don’t all have titles or tags, and some of them aren’t rotated yet, but they’re up. Login if you want to see all of them, otherwise you’ll just see the lamer, public ones.

Check out this post at wackbag.com. It was from a girl who went to the same show we did. In the second picture, down in the lower-left hand corner, you can see my green sleeve next to a Heiniken bottle. Anyhow, today during the radio show they were talking about these pictures a lot – making fun of the smelly girlfriend and the guy picking his nose, etc. That guy was sitting right across from us. Callahan made fun of him at one point, I believe.

Here’s a picture of me and Jim Norton. I look like an ass (as always) and he’s looking at a different camera. But, what the hell. I’m just happy I was able to get a picture with the funniest guy I’ve ever heard. I also picked up a copy of his new album, which he signed for me.

The guy was hilarious. I definitely recommend picking up his new CD if you’re into utterly offensive comedy.

Clem Snide is playing at the Middle East downstairs tomorrow (Friday 4/29) night for $12. Anyone want to go?

I’ve bought a few audio books from Audible.com over the years. They provide a pretty neat service. I’m still trying to figure out this e-mail they sent me though. The subject line is:

I think $.99 is a little overpriced for free audiobooks, but that’s just me.

A few weeks back it was announced that Yahoo acquired Flickr. Flickr is the site I now host my photos at, and I liked it enought that I purchased a “pro” account. What that means is basically you can upload more photos per month (1GB, now expanded to 2GB) and your photos are available to download at full resolution.

I just got an e-mail saying that, because I paid for membership before the acquisition, they are rewarding me by doubling my pro account time (to 2 years) and giving me 2 additional pro accounts to distribute to friends. So, who wants one? Please only shout if you think you’ll actually use it.
